Website Development
Custom website development built for performance, security and scalability
A website should not be held together by templates, bloated themes or fragile plugin stacks. We build custom websites with a clear technical structure, fast loading foundations, search-ready architecture and room to grow across services, products and locations. Based in Geelong and Sydney, we work with businesses across Australia that need a website built as business infrastructure, not a short-term brochure.
Structure First
Website development that starts with structure, not decoration
Website development is the technical build of your site. It covers the way pages are structured, how content is managed, how fast the site loads, how search engines crawl it and how reliably it works after launch. When development is treated as an afterthought, businesses often end up with slow pages, poor indexing, limited content control, security issues and websites that need to be rebuilt each time the business changes. Our approach is based on Structure Before Aesthetics. Before code is written, we consider search intent, page hierarchy, internal linking, performance requirements, content management, hosting, security and future expansion. This helps create websites that can support SEO, conversions and long-term maintenance from day one.
- Custom development with no generic template builds or page-builder dependency.
- Technical foundations planned for speed, mobile usability, indexing and scalable content.
- Built primarily on Genesis CMS, with Laravel used for larger bespoke systems and integrations.
Development Priorities
What matters in a business website build
A professional website needs more than clean visuals. It needs a stable codebase, logical structure, clear content management, secure deployment and performance that supports both users and search engines.
-
Feature 01
Performance-first development
Slow sites create friction for users and make SEO harder. We build with speed, efficient code, image handling, caching and mobile performance in mind, rather than trying to patch performance problems after launch.

Feature 02
Search-ready site architecture
Service pages, location structures, URL paths and internal links need to make sense before development begins. This gives SEO work a stronger technical foundation and reduces the need for future restructuring.
-
Feature 03
Controlled platform management
Genesis CMS reduces reliance on third-party themes and large plugin stacks. This helps keep the platform more controlled, easier to maintain and better aligned with long-term website stability.
Ask About Genesis CMS
What We Build
Website development for businesses that need more than a basic template
Our website development service is suited to businesses investing in long-term digital infrastructure. That may include service businesses targeting multiple locations, professional firms needing strong enquiry pathways, growing retailers, e-commerce operators or organisations that need custom functionality tied to their internal processes. We do not position website development as a quick visual refresh. If your current site is slow, hard to update, poorly structured for SEO or dependent on fragile third-party components, the issue is usually technical as much as visual. Our role is to plan and build the underlying system properly.
Genesis CMS websites
For most business websites
Genesis CMS is our proprietary platform, built to support performance, security, structured content, SEO capability and scalable page growth without relying on generic themes or heavy page builders.
Laravel applications
For advanced custom requirements
Laravel is used for larger bespoke systems, business applications, custom workflows, API integrations and complex requirements that go beyond a standard website build.
Secure staging and launch
For controlled review before going live
Websites and applications are developed and tested in a secure staging environment before deployment. Where possible, clients review and approve the build before final launch.
Our Approach
Custom website development compared with page-builder websites
Template and page-builder websites can be suitable for some early-stage needs, but they often become restrictive when a business needs speed, SEO structure, custom content, stronger security control or long-term scalability. Our development model is built around the technical requirements first.
Site structure
Search visibility starts with architecture, not after-launch guesswork.
Pages are often added as needed, with SEO structure considered later.
Page hierarchy, URL paths and internal linking are planned before development.
Performance
Speed supports user experience, Core Web Vitals and conversion pathways.
Extra plugins, scripts and visual components can increase page weight.
Code, content structures and performance settings are built with speed in mind.
Scalability
The right platform reduces the risk of a full rebuild when the business grows.
Adding services, locations or custom features may create technical limits.
Genesis CMS and Laravel options allow the build to expand with business requirements.
Development Process
How we plan, build and launch custom websites
A strong website build needs clear steps, controlled environments and proper testing. Typical custom website development takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on scope, technical complexity, integrations, revisions, client feedback, content approval and access to required third-party services.
-
Phase 01
Strategy, audit and architecture
We clarify requirements, review existing technical issues where applicable, map key pages, consider search intent and plan the site architecture before moving into production.
-
Phase 02
Development and staging
We build the website in a secure staging environment, configure core functionality, structure content management, optimise performance and prepare the site for testing.
-
Phase 03
Testing, approval and launch
We test across devices, review speed and functionality, complete launch checks, coordinate deployment and address relevant defects within the agreed project scope and warranty period.
Pricing Guidance
Website development pricing depends on scope and technical requirements
We do not use one fixed price for every website because development requirements vary. A service website, an e-commerce build and a custom Laravel application do not require the same planning, codebase, integrations or testing. Pricing is provided through a tailored proposal after we understand your goals, required functionality, content structure, hosting needs and support expectations.
All prices are in AUD and include GST where pricing is shown. Final pricing is confirmed in a tailored proposal.

Ownership and Access
Clear expectations about content, CMS access and proprietary technology
Website ownership questions matter, especially for businesses that have had poor experiences with previous providers. We separate client-owned assets from proprietary platform technology so there is no confusion during the project. Clients retain ownership of content they provide, including logos, branding, text, images and business assets. Dobble retains ownership of proprietary website source code, CMS software, frameworks, development tools, templates and related intellectual property. Clients are granted a licence to use the website and Genesis CMS while their SLA remains active and their account is in good standing.
Content management access
Available where appropriate
Clients who request Genesis CMS access can be given a limited user account with permissions assigned at our discretion to protect website integrity, security and functionality.
Training and documentation
Available on request
Where requested, we can provide basic training and documentation for common content management tasks so approved users understand how to manage routine updates.
If an SLA ends
Static export may be available
If an SLA ends, we may provide a static export of the website for hosting elsewhere. Proprietary source code, CMS software and development files are not transferred.
