Project Overview
Launching a Melbourne law firm with a complete digital foundation
Le Kal Lawyers is a Melbourne-based law firm providing practical legal services to individuals, families and businesses throughout Victoria. When Principal Solicitor Olivia Kalash launched the independent practice, the firm needed more than a simple online presence. It needed a professional brand identity, a reliable website and a digital foundation that could support long-term growth from day one.
We were engaged to create the full visual identity, including logo design, brand guidelines and supporting business materials, before planning and building the website. The project brought together design and branding, web design, website development, entry-level SEO foundations and operational integration through custom API functionality.
The goal was to help the firm enter a competitive legal market with a brand that felt credible, approachable and consistent across every client-facing touchpoint. The finished solution gave Le Kal Lawyers a cohesive launch platform, from stationery and email signatures through to a Genesis CMS website connected to the firm’s CRM workflow.
Legal Industry
The project supported a new Melbourne law firm offering legal services across family, migration, commercial, property and related practice areas.
Complete Branding
We created a new logo, brand guidelines, business cards, letterheads, email signatures and document template updates.
Genesis CMS
The website was developed on Genesis CMS to provide a structured, maintainable platform for the firm’s online presence.
CRM Integration
Custom API functionality connected website enquiries with the firm’s CRM, helping streamline enquiry capture and follow-up.
The Challenge
Creating a legal brand that felt credible and approachable
Le Kal Lawyers was entering the market as a new independent legal practice, which meant the brand had to establish trust quickly. In the legal industry, first impressions matter. Prospective clients often assess professionalism, clarity and confidence before making contact, especially when dealing with sensitive personal, family, business or legal matters.
The main challenge was balancing authority with warmth. Many law firm websites use a traditional corporate style that can feel formal or intimidating. Olivia wanted Le Kal Lawyers to present itself differently, while still meeting the professional expectations of the legal sector. That meant the brand direction, website layout, colours, typography and content flow all needed to support both credibility and accessibility.
Before visual design could be finalised, we needed to think carefully about structure, trust signals and enquiry pathways. This reflected the same thinking behind a strong website design brief, where business goals, audience needs and practical requirements guide the creative direction. For a law firm, those details can affect how confidently users move from reading about a service to making an enquiry.
The project also needed consistency across more than the website. Letterheads, business cards, email signatures, Xero document templates and CRM-generated documents all needed to feel like part of the same firm. This made website trust signals and clear calls to action important parts of the wider brand experience, not isolated website elements.
New Practice
The firm needed to build credibility from the beginning, without relying on an existing website or long-established digital presence.
Approachable Tone
The brand had to feel professional and trustworthy while remaining warm, accessible and clear for prospective clients.
Consistent Touchpoints
Brand consistency was required across the website, printed stationery, email signatures and CRM-generated client documents.
Strategic Response
A structured launch strategy for a new firm
We approached the project as a complete business launch foundation, not just a website build. The work moved from brand identity to digital structure, then into operational integration.
-
Brand Before Build
We established the visual identity first so the website, stationery, email signatures and document templates could all follow one consistent direction.
-
Approachability First
The design direction was shaped around a professional but welcoming legal brand, helping the firm stand apart from more traditional corporate law firm styling.
-
Structured Website Planning
The website was planned to present practice areas clearly, guide users through the firm’s services and support future organic visibility through entry-level SEO foundations.
-
Workflow Connection
Custom API functionality was included so website enquiries could flow into the firm’s CRM as either existing client records or new prospective leads.
-
Visual Identity
A new logo and supporting brand system gave the firm a professional identity from the first stage of business launch.
-
Business Materials
Business cards, letterheads and email signatures extended the brand beyond the website into daily client communication.
-
Document Templates
Xero and CRM document updates helped maintain the same visual identity across operational and client-facing documents.
Brand Delivery
Building consistency across every client-facing document
A law firm’s brand is experienced in many places before and after a client makes an enquiry. For Le Kal Lawyers, the visual identity needed to carry across the website, business cards, letterheads, email signatures, Xero templates and CRM-generated documents. This helped create a recognisable and consistent experience whenever clients interacted with the firm.
We created a complete brand identity that supported the firm’s professional positioning while keeping the overall tone approachable. The logo, colour palette and supporting brand elements were designed to feel refined without becoming cold or overly corporate. That balance was important because the firm works with people and businesses across a broad range of legal matters.
Brand consistency also needed to connect with the firm’s wider digital infrastructure. Domain oversight, email presentation and document templates all formed part of the same launch foundation, which is why services such as domain name management and email hosting and management matter during a new business launch. They help keep the brand experience practical, reliable and consistent.
This stage of the project followed the same principles used in our broader design and branding process, where visual decisions are guided by business objectives, audience expectations and the way the brand will be used in real settings.
Website Build
Developing a Genesis CMS website connected to the firm’s CRM
Once the brand direction was established, we designed and developed a new website on Genesis CMS. The website needed to present the firm as professional and approachable, while making it easy for users to understand the legal services available and take the next step.
The website was also built with entry-level SEO foundations to support long-term online growth. For a new practice, that foundation is important because search visibility depends on clear structure, relevant content, technical quality and ongoing improvement over time. We did not treat SEO as an afterthought. It was considered as part of the website’s structure and launch preparation.
A key operational requirement was the custom CRM integration. We connected website enquiries to the firm’s existing CRM through API functionality, allowing submitted enquiries to be captured and processed as either existing clients or new prospective leads. This type of API integration in website development helps reduce manual handling and supports a smoother internal workflow.
The development process reflected the value of planning, testing and controlled launch preparation. As with any professional website development project, structure, content management, responsive layouts and technical reliability all needed to work together. Where relevant, this type of project also benefits from a controlled review process similar to a staging website before launch, giving clients the opportunity to review and refine before going live.
New Website
The website gave Le Kal Lawyers a professional online presence aligned with the firm’s new brand identity.
SEO Foundations
Entry-level SEO foundations were included to support future organic visibility as the firm continued to grow online.
CRM Workflow
Website enquiry forms were integrated with the firm’s CRM, improving how new enquiries entered the internal process.
Responsive Layouts
The website was designed to present the firm clearly across modern devices, supporting accessibility and ease of use.
The Solution
A cohesive platform for brand, search and enquiry management
The completed project gave Le Kal Lawyers a cohesive and professional foundation for launching and growing the firm. Instead of having separate visual elements, disconnected documents and a standalone website, the business received a unified brand system that could be used across digital, print and operational touchpoints.
The website presents the firm as both professional and approachable, helping communicate the values Olivia wanted the practice to represent. Clear service presentation, consistent branding and structured enquiry pathways made the site more useful for prospective clients seeking legal help across Melbourne and Victoria.
From a practical operations perspective, the CRM integration created a stronger bridge between the website and the firm’s internal processes. Enquiries submitted through the website could be captured more efficiently, reducing friction between a potential client’s first contact and the firm’s follow-up workflow.
The project also became part of an ongoing digital partnership. Since the initial launch, we have continued supporting Le Kal Lawyers as the business has evolved. In early 2026, the firm re-engaged us to design and develop the second generation of its website, ensuring its digital presence continued to reflect the firm’s growth, maturity and changing needs. Ongoing services such as SEO, web hosting and long-term website support help keep the digital foundation aligned with the business as it develops.
If your business is preparing to launch, refresh its brand or connect a website with internal systems, you can start a conversation with us about the structure, platform and practical requirements behind the project.
