FAQ

How does Dobble ensure its web hosting is configured and maintained to a high standard?

Dobble treats web hosting as business infrastructure, not just server space. Its managed hosting focuses on performance, security, monitoring, backups, SSL configuration, caching and planned migration work. Dobble aims to maintain 99.9% monthly uptime for websites hosted on its managed infrastructure, subject to scheduled maintenance, third-party outages and other SLA exclusions.

Dobble approaches web hosting as a managed technical service, not a low-cost storage product. The quality of a hosting environment depends on the infrastructure used, how it is configured, how it is monitored, how security is managed and how issues are handled when they arise.

For Dobble, quality web hosting starts with the right technical foundation. Its hosting is positioned as fully managed, performance and security-focused, with Australian-based server infrastructure and Australian-based support. That means the focus is not simply on putting a website online, but on keeping the hosting environment fast, stable, secure and suitable for the business using it.

The practical components of Dobble’s managed hosting may include SSL certificates, server-level caching, daily automated backups, proactive monitoring, firewalls, malware scanning, intrusion detection and security patching. Dobble also uses Cloudflare for DNS infrastructure, DDoS protection and SSL/TLS management where appropriate. These components are the hosting equivalent of quality materials: they help create a more reliable technical environment than generic, unmanaged hosting.

Workmanship matters just as much as infrastructure. A hosting environment needs to be configured correctly for the website, domain, DNS, email and any connected third-party systems. Poor configuration can lead to slow load times, broken forms, SSL errors, email issues, downtime or migration problems. Dobble’s managed approach includes technical setup, performance considerations, security configuration, monitoring and ongoing support rather than leaving clients to manage server administration themselves.

When Dobble migrates a website from another host, it follows a planned process to minimise disruption. Existing services are assessed, backups are taken where possible, the new environment is prepared and tested, and DNS changes are coordinated carefully. Temporary interruptions may still occur because of DNS propagation, third-party providers or internet caching, but the process is designed to reduce avoidable downtime and prevent rushed cutovers.

Dobble aims to maintain 99.9% monthly uptime for websites and hosting services managed on its infrastructure. This applies to the availability of the Dobble-managed web server and hosting environment, measured monthly. It should not be read as a promise of 100% uptime or uninterrupted service. Exclusions include scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, third-party outages, domain registrar issues, DNS provider issues, CDN issues, payment gateway issues, Microsoft 365 or Google service issues, Cloudflare or similar external services, client-side internet issues, force majeure events, cyberattacks, client changes, custom code, third-party plugins or themes, misuse and services not managed directly by Dobble.

If monthly uptime falls below 99.9% due solely to an issue within Dobble’s managed hosting infrastructure, affected clients may request a service review. Where applicable under the client’s Service Level Agreement, service credits may be available. Any financial compensation is limited to the service credits specified in the applicable agreement.

Dobble also provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week support for hosting, maintenance, domain and email clients. Emergency support is available, with typical response times within 4 hours. For clients outside an SLA, emergency support is charged on an ad hoc basis, with quotes, predictions and capped timing supplied before work begins.

In simple terms, Dobble’s hosting quality comes from combining managed infrastructure, careful configuration, performance-focused setup, security monitoring, planned migrations and realistic support boundaries. It is designed for businesses that need hosting treated as part of their digital foundation, not as an afterthought.
