FAQ

What happens after Dobble completes website maintenance or repair work?

After maintenance or repair work, Dobble confirms what was addressed, tests the affected areas and explains any recommended next steps. For clients on hosting, maintenance, domain or email arrangements, ongoing support is available 24/7. Emergency support is available, with typical response within 4 hours, while ad hoc emergency work outside an SLA is quoted before work begins.

After Dobble completes website maintenance or repair work, the goal is to leave the website more stable, better understood and easier to manage. The exact handover depends on the issue, the website platform, the client’s Service Level Agreement and whether Dobble manages the hosting, maintenance, domain or email environment.

For repair work, aftercare usually begins with a practical explanation of what was found, what was changed and whether any follow-up action is recommended. This may apply to issues such as malware removal, broken forms, checkout problems, display errors, slow load times, plugin conflicts, database problems or other technical faults. Dobble tests the affected areas where practical before confirming the work is complete.

Where a website is hosted or maintained by Dobble, aftercare may also include ongoing monitoring, backup management, security checks, performance review and technical support within the scope of the client’s agreement. These activities are designed to reduce risk and identify issues early, but they should not be treated as a guarantee that a website will never experience downtime, security incidents, third-party failures or future technical problems.

Handover can include notes about the repair, recommendations for future maintenance and guidance on what the client should avoid changing. If the website uses Dobble’s Genesis CMS and the client requests access, Dobble can provide a limited user account with the permissions needed to manage approved website content. Access levels are assigned at Dobble’s discretion to help protect the integrity, security and functionality of the website. Where requested, Dobble can also provide basic training and documentation for common content management tasks.

It is important to separate content access from ownership of the underlying platform. Clients retain ownership of content they provide, including logos, branding, text, images and other business assets. Dobble retains ownership of its proprietary website source code, CMS software, frameworks, development tools, templates, source files and related intellectual property. Clients are granted a licence to use the website and Dobble’s proprietary CMS while their SLA remains active and their account is in good standing.

If a repair relates to Dobble’s own development work, defects or errors reported during the agreed warranty period, typically 30 days from launch unless otherwise specified, may be corrected at no additional charge where they fall within the agreed scope. This does not generally cover new functionality, content changes, third-party software issues, browser updates or changes made by anyone other than Dobble.

Some website issues are caused by systems outside Dobble’s direct control, such as domain registrars, DNS providers, payment gateways, email providers, cloud services, APIs, plugins or software installed by a client or third party. Where practical, Dobble may assist with diagnosis and resolution, but additional charges may apply if the issue falls outside the client’s SLA.

For clients with hosting, maintenance, domain or email services, support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Emergency support is also available, with response times typically within 4 hours. If a client is outside an SLA, emergency work is charged on an ad hoc basis, with quotes, predictions or capped timing supplied before work begins.

If you want ongoing protection rather than one-off fixes, Dobble can review your website and recommend a suitable maintenance approach. Request a Website Maintenance Assessment to discuss the current state of your website and the level of support it needs.
