FAQ

What affects the cost of a design and branding project?

Design and branding costs depend on the scope of work, number of deliverables, revision requirements, brand complexity and how the assets will be used across web, print and digital channels. Dobble provides selected starting prices for guidance, but final pricing is confirmed through a tailored proposal after understanding your goals and requirements.

The cost of a design and branding project depends on what your business needs to create, refine or prepare for long-term use. Dobble does not treat branding as decoration alone. Its design approach is based on strategy before style, meaning the quote needs to account for practical requirements, business goals, competitors, audience expectations and how the final assets will be used.

For general guidance, Dobble’s confirmed design pricing includes logo design from $3,000 one-time, website design from $980 one-time and a Business Starter Package from $3,300 one-time. Additional revisions beyond the included rounds are charged at $140 per hour. All listed prices include GST unless otherwise stated. These prices are starting points, not fixed prices for every project.

The first cost factor is the type of design work required. A logo-only project is different from a full visual identity project. A business that needs primary, secondary and icon logo variations, business card design, social media profile assets and brand guidelines will require a broader scope than a business that only needs a simple website design concept.

The second factor is how much discovery and strategy is needed. Dobble’s design process includes discovery and research, strategy development, concept creation, refinement and finalisation. This helps ensure the design direction is tailored to your industry, target audience, competitors, business objectives and existing brand. A more complex market, multiple customer segments or unclear brand positioning may require more strategic work before design concepts are created.

Revision requirements also affect cost. Dobble’s confirmed Logo Design Package includes three initial concepts and three rounds of revisions. Website Design also includes three rounds of revisions. If a project requires extra rounds, significant changes in direction or additional design variations beyond the agreed scope, extra time may be quoted or charged at the confirmed hourly revision rate.

Deliverables are another important consideration. Dobble’s Logo Design Package includes primary, secondary and icon variations, vector source files, web and print ready formats and basic usage guidelines. The Business Starter Package includes the full logo design process, business card design, website design, a brand guidelines document, source files for the design deliverables, print and web ready formats and social media profile assets. Broader deliverable requirements usually increase the amount of planning, design and preparation involved.

Website-related design can also influence pricing. Dobble’s website design work includes layout and structure planning, desktop and mobile designs, design system documentation, developer-ready specifications and brand alignment review. Because Dobble follows a Structure Before Aesthetics approach, website design is planned around user flow, content hierarchy, calls-to-action, trust signals and conversion pathways rather than appearance alone.

The quality and readiness of your existing assets can also affect the quote. If you already have suitable brand colours, fonts, imagery, copy and logo files, the project may be more straightforward. If assets are missing, inconsistent, low resolution or not suitable for web and print use, Dobble may need to allow extra time to rebuild, refine or prepare them properly.

Timeframes and responsiveness can also influence project planning. As a general guide, logo design typically takes 1 to 2 weeks, while website design or UI/UX typically takes 2 to 4 weeks. These are guides only and depend on scope, complexity, revisions, feedback, content approval and access to any required services or assets.

To prepare an accurate quote, Dobble will usually need to understand what your business does, who you are targeting, what design assets you already have, what deliverables you need, where the brand will be used and whether the work is part of a wider website or digital strategy.
