FAQ

What aftercare and handover support does Dobble provide after web design?

After web design approval, Dobble moves through final testing, launch preparation and deployment. Where relevant, clients can review work in a secure staging environment before launch. Dobble can also provide limited Genesis CMS access, basic training and documentation on request, with ongoing maintenance, hosting and support available under the agreed service arrangement.

Dobble treats aftercare as part of building a website that works long after the design is approved. A website should not simply look finished. It should be tested, reviewed, launched carefully and supported in a way that protects performance, search visibility, security and future scalability.

During a web design and development project, Dobble works in a secure staging environment before deployment. Where possible, clients can review a password-protected staging website, often on a staging subdomain, before the website goes live. This gives you an opportunity to check the structure, layout, content, calls-to-action and overall experience before launch approval. If domain access is not yet available, Dobble may share staging access securely through a password-protected Cloudflare Tunnel.

Once the design and build are approved, Dobble performs final testing and prepares the website for launch. This can include checking responsive behaviour across devices, reviewing key forms and conversion pathways, confirming core technical settings, preparing redirects where relevant, checking analytics setup and coordinating DNS changes. Dobble plans launches and migrations to minimise disruption, although temporary interruptions can still occur because of DNS propagation, internet caching or third-party providers outside Dobble’s control.

Handover depends on the project type, platform and agreed service arrangement. Dobble primarily builds websites using its proprietary Genesis CMS, which is designed for performance, security, SEO capability and reduced reliance on bloated page builders or large plugin stacks. Clients who request CMS access can be provided with a limited user account containing the permissions needed to manage approved website content. Access levels are assigned at Dobble’s discretion to protect the integrity, security and functionality of the website.

Where requested, Dobble can also provide basic training and documentation for common content management tasks. This may help your team understand how to make routine content updates without needing to touch technical settings, development files or server configuration. More complex changes, new functionality, structural SEO changes, integrations or technical work generally remain Dobble’s responsibility under the applicable agreement or can be quoted separately.

Ownership is also explained carefully during handover. Clients retain ownership of the content and business assets they provide, including logos, branding, text, images and other approved materials. Dobble may provide source files for confirmed design deliverables where included in the design package. However, this is separate from website platform ownership. Dobble retains ownership of its proprietary website source code, Genesis CMS software, frameworks, development tools, templates, development files and related intellectual property. Clients are granted a licence to use the website and proprietary CMS while their Service Level Agreement remains active and their account is in good standing.

After launch, Dobble can support your website through managed hosting, maintenance, domain management, email management and ongoing SEO where those services are included or agreed. Hosting, maintenance, domain and email clients have support availability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Emergency support is also available, with typical response times within 4 hours. For clients outside an SLA, emergency work is charged on an ad hoc basis, with quotes, predictions or capped timing supplied before work begins where applicable.

Dobble also provides website maintenance and repair services for issues such as security monitoring, performance optimisation, backups, broken functionality, malware, display errors and technical faults. Hosting is managed on a best-efforts basis with a 99.9% monthly uptime target for websites and hosting services managed on Dobble infrastructure, subject to exclusions such as scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, third-party outages, DNS providers, client-side issues, force majeure events and services not directly managed by Dobble.

For website development work, defects or errors arising from Dobble’s development and reported during the agreed warranty period, typically 30 days from launch unless otherwise specified, may be corrected at no additional charge. This does not usually cover new functionality, content changes, third-party software issues, browser updates or modifications made by anyone other than Dobble.

The goal of Dobble’s aftercare is practical: to give your business a clear handover, a stable launch process and the option of ongoing support. If you want a website designed with structure, search visibility and long-term maintenance in mind, you can Discuss Your Project with Dobble.
