FAQ

What happens after Dobble manages or migrates my domain?

After your domain is managed or migrated, Dobble continues to oversee key domain and DNS settings, renewal tracking, security configuration and coordination with hosting and email. Your domain remains registered to you, while Dobble manages it on your behalf. Handover, support and future changes depend on your service agreement and the systems involved.

After Dobble manages or migrates a domain, the work does not stop at the initial setup. A domain name is part of your digital foundation, so ongoing aftercare is important for keeping your website, email, DNS records, SSL/TLS configuration and connected services working reliably.

Dobble manages domain registrations on behalf of clients, but does not own the domain. For .au domains, ownership remains with the registered client. Dobble’s role is to help keep the domain properly configured, monitored and aligned with the rest of your digital infrastructure, including website hosting, business email and third-party tools.

Typical domain aftercare may include renewal date tracking, DNS record management, DNS propagation monitoring, security feature configuration and coordination with hosting or email changes. Dobble uses Cloudflare for DNS infrastructure, DDoS protection and SSL/TLS management where appropriate, which helps support faster DNS resolution, security and technical control.

Domain management is often closely connected to email deliverability. If Dobble is also managing your business email, DNS records such as MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC may be configured or reviewed to support proper email authentication. These settings can improve deliverability, but no provider can guarantee inbox placement, spam filtering outcomes or uninterrupted email availability, especially where third-party platforms such as Microsoft 365 or other email providers are involved.

If your domain has been migrated from another registrar, DNS provider or previous agency, Dobble follows a planned process designed to minimise disruption. Existing services are audited, backups are taken where possible, the new environment is prepared and DNS changes are coordinated carefully. However, temporary interruptions can still occur because DNS propagation, registrar systems, third-party providers and internet caching are not fully within Dobble’s control.

For clients with active hosting, SEO or maintenance service agreements, domain management is included free. Standalone domain management is charged using a wholesale cost plus management overhead model, with the final amount depending on the domain extension and registrar. Dobble provides tailored guidance where domain requirements are more complex.

If a handover is required, Dobble can help clarify the current domain and DNS setup, explain which records are connected to your website, email and third-party services, and coordinate changes with the new provider where practical. Any transfer or handover remains subject to registry and registrar policies, account status, access requirements and applicable service agreements.

Dobble’s support hours for hosting, maintenance, domain and email clients are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Emergency support is available, with typical response times within 4 hours. If emergency work is required outside an active SLA, Dobble charges on an ad hoc basis and provides quotes, timing predictions or capped timing before commencing the work where applicable.

The goal of Dobble’s domain aftercare is practical continuity: keeping ownership clear, DNS accurate, renewals monitored and website and email infrastructure properly coordinated. If you are unsure who controls your domain, whether your DNS records are correct, or what would happen during a future handover, you can request a domain review.
