FAQ

What happens after my website is moved to Dobble hosting?

After your website is moved to Dobble’s managed hosting, Dobble completes launch checks, coordinates DNS changes, configures SSL, caching, backups and monitoring, and provides ongoing hosting support. Hosting, maintenance, domain and email clients have 24/7 support access. Uptime is managed against Dobble’s 99.9% monthly target, subject to normal SLA exclusions and third-party limitations.

After your website is moved to Dobble hosting, the work does not stop at launch. Dobble’s approach to web hosting is managed, performance-focused and security-conscious, so aftercare includes the technical checks, monitoring and support needed to help keep your website stable, fast and reliable over time.

During a hosting migration, Dobble audits the existing setup, prepares the new hosting environment, takes backups where possible, tests the website before cutover and coordinates DNS changes carefully. Once the website is live, Dobble completes post-launch checks to confirm the site is loading correctly, SSL is configured, caching is working, key pages are accessible and any relevant hosting, domain or DNS settings have been applied. Temporary interruptions can still occur because of DNS propagation, third-party providers or internet caching, but the migration process is planned to minimise disruption.

The handover depends on the website, hosting arrangement and any related service agreement. For Dobble-managed websites, this may include confirmation of the live environment, relevant access details, CMS access where appropriate, and basic guidance for common content management tasks if requested. Where a website uses Dobble’s proprietary Genesis CMS, clients who request access can be provided with a limited user account with permissions assigned at Dobble’s discretion. This helps protect the website’s integrity, security and functionality while still allowing approved content updates.

It is also important to understand what handover does and does not mean. Clients retain ownership of content they provide, including logos, branding, text, images and other business assets. Domain ownership remains with the registered client, although Dobble may manage domain registrations and DNS settings on the client’s behalf. Hosting infrastructure, server configurations, proprietary website source code, CMS software, frameworks, development tools and related intellectual property remain the property of Dobble or its providers. Clients receive the benefit of the hosting service, but do not acquire ownership of the hosting environment itself.

Ongoing hosting aftercare may include daily automated backups, SSL certificate configuration, server-level caching, proactive monitoring, firewalls, malware scanning, intrusion detection and security patching. These measures are designed to reduce risk and improve reliability, but they cannot guarantee that a website will never experience downtime, security issues, third-party failures or technical problems. Hosting is affected by many factors, including DNS providers, registrars, cloud services, email platforms, payment gateways, client-side changes, internet connectivity and events outside Dobble’s direct control.

Dobble aims to maintain 99.9% monthly uptime for websites and hosting services managed on its infrastructure. This applies to the availability of the Dobble-managed web server and hosting environment, measured monthly. It is not a promise of 100% uptime. The uptime commitment excludes scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, third-party outages, DNS or CDN issues, client or ISP connectivity issues, force majeure events, client changes, custom code, third-party plugins or themes, misuse, and services not managed directly by Dobble.

If monthly uptime falls below 99.9% due solely to an issue within Dobble-managed hosting infrastructure, affected clients may request a service review. Where applicable under the client’s Service Level Agreement, service credits may be available. Any financial compensation is limited to the service credits specified in the applicable agreement.

Hosting, maintenance, domain and email clients have access to support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Emergency support is available, with response times typically within 4 hours. If emergency work is required outside an SLA, Dobble charges on an ad hoc basis and provides quotes, predictions or capped timing before work begins where applicable.

For businesses that want their website treated as part of their operating infrastructure, not just a file sitting on a server, Dobble’s managed hosting provides structured aftercare, practical handover and ongoing technical support aligned with performance, security and long-term reliability.
