FAQ

What is included in Dobble’s website development service?

Dobble’s website development service covers strategy, site architecture, custom development, technical SEO foundations, performance optimisation, secure staging, testing and launch support. Most websites are built on Dobble’s proprietary Genesis CMS, while Laravel is used for larger bespoke applications and complex integrations. Scope, timelines and ongoing support are confirmed in a tailored proposal before work begins.

Dobble’s website development service is built around a strategy-first approach. Rather than starting with visuals alone, Dobble plans the website’s structure, search intent, technical foundations and conversion pathways before development is finalised. The aim is to build websites that are practical, fast, secure, scalable and structured for long-term growth.

A typical website development project may include discovery, planning, site architecture, custom development, content structure, technical SEO foundations, performance optimisation, secure staging, testing and launch deployment. The exact inclusions depend on the project scope, website type, required functionality, integrations, content requirements, hosting environment and ongoing support needs.

For most website projects, Dobble uses its proprietary Genesis CMS. Genesis CMS is purpose-built for performance, security, SEO capability, flexibility and reduced reliance on third-party plugins and themes. It allows Dobble to avoid the bloated page-builder approach often seen in template-based websites. For larger bespoke systems, business applications, advanced integrations or complex custom requirements, Dobble may use Laravel instead.

Website development can include service business websites, multi-location websites, e-commerce websites, custom website functionality, API integrations and client content management access where appropriate. Common integrations may involve CRMs, accounting software, booking systems or other business tools. Dobble does not currently build new websites on WordPress, Shopify or WooCommerce, based on its current business-supplied platform guidance.

Dobble develops and tests websites in a secure staging environment before deployment. Where possible, clients can review a password-protected staging website and provide feedback before launch. If access to the client’s domain is not yet available, Dobble may securely share staging access using a password-protected Cloudflare Tunnel. Once the client approves launch, Dobble performs final testing and deploys the website to the live environment.

Development work is supported by Dobble’s “Structure Before Aesthetics” and “Search-First Strategy” philosophy. This means the website is planned around page hierarchy, URL structure, internal linking, mobile responsiveness, performance, security, conversion pathways and technical SEO foundations from the beginning. SEO results, rankings, traffic and leads cannot be guaranteed, but the website is built with the technical structure needed to support long-term search visibility.

Clients who request Genesis CMS access can be provided with a limited user account containing the permissions required to manage website content. Access levels are assigned at Dobble’s discretion to help protect the integrity, security and functionality of the website. Where requested, Dobble can also provide basic training and documentation for common content management tasks.

Ownership is also important to understand. Clients retain ownership of content they provide, including logos, branding, text, images and other business assets. Dobble retains ownership of its proprietary website source code, CMS software, frameworks, development tools, templates, source files and related intellectual property. Clients are granted a licence to use the website and Dobble’s proprietary CMS while their Service Level Agreement remains active and their account is in good standing.

Typical custom website development projects take around 4 to 8 weeks, depending on scope, complexity, revisions, client responsiveness, content approval and access to required third-party services. E-commerce projects and Laravel applications may take longer. Dobble confirms pricing and inclusions through a tailored proposal after reviewing the client’s goals and requirements.
