FAQ

What support and handover do I receive after my website goes live?

After launch, Dobble completes final testing, provides agreed access, and supports your website according to your project scope or SLA. Clients can request limited Genesis CMS access for content updates, with training or documentation where required. Ongoing maintenance, hosting, domain and email support may also be provided, with warranty boundaries and third-party limitations clearly explained.

After your website goes live, Dobble does not treat the project as finished and forgotten. The launch is the point where the website moves from staging into the live environment, but aftercare, handover, maintenance and support are handled according to the agreed project scope, Service Level Agreement or ongoing management arrangement.

Before launch, Dobble develops and tests websites in a secure staging environment. Where possible, clients review a password-protected staging version, provide feedback, request refinements and approve the website before deployment. Once approval is received, Dobble performs final testing and deploys the website to the live environment.

Handover usually depends on the type of website, the platform used and the client’s agreement. Most Dobble websites are built on Genesis CMS, Dobble’s proprietary CMS designed for performance, security, SEO capability, flexibility and long-term scalability. Clients who request access can be provided with a limited Genesis CMS user account that includes the permissions required to manage approved website content. Access levels are assigned at Dobble’s discretion to help protect the integrity, security and functionality of the website.

Where requested, Dobble can provide basic training and documentation for common content management tasks. This may help your team understand how to update approved content areas without interfering with technical settings, structured SEO elements, custom functionality or site performance. More technical changes, new functionality, complex layout adjustments or work outside your access level remain Dobble’s responsibility under the applicable agreement.

Dobble’s aftercare may include:

  • Final post-launch checks after deployment
  • Correction of agreed defects within the applicable warranty period
  • Limited CMS access for approved content management tasks
  • Basic training or documentation where requested
  • Managed hosting, if included in your arrangement
  • Website maintenance and repairs where included or separately agreed
  • Domain, DNS and email support where Dobble manages those services
  • Ongoing SEO expansion, content work or technical optimisation where part of an SEO engagement

Website development defects or errors arising from Dobble’s development work and reported during the agreed warranty period, typically 30 days from launch unless otherwise specified, may be corrected at no additional charge. This warranty does not cover new functionality, content changes, third-party software issues, browser updates or modifications made by anyone other than Dobble.

If your website is hosted or maintained by Dobble, support for hosting, maintenance, domain and email clients is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Emergency support is available, with typical response times within 4 hours. Emergency work outside an SLA is charged on an ad hoc basis, with quotes, predictions or capped timing supplied before work begins where applicable.

For Dobble-managed hosting infrastructure, Dobble aims to maintain 99.9% monthly uptime for websites and hosting services it manages. This applies to the web server and hosting environment and is subject to exclusions such as scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, third-party outages, DNS or CDN issues, client-side internet problems, force majeure events, client changes, misuse and services not managed directly by Dobble.

Ownership is also explained carefully at handover. Clients retain ownership of content they provide, including logos, branding, text, images and other business assets. Domain ownership remains with the registered client, while Dobble may manage the domain on the client’s behalf. Dobble retains ownership of its proprietary website source code, Genesis CMS software, frameworks, development tools, templates and related intellectual property. Clients receive a licence to use the website and Genesis CMS while their SLA remains active and their account is in good standing.

If an SLA ends, Dobble may provide a static export of the website for hosting elsewhere, but proprietary source code, CMS software and development files are not transferred. This distinction helps avoid confusion between owning your business content and owning the underlying proprietary platform.

Dobble’s goal is to give clients a website that is structured, supported and maintainable after launch, not just delivered visually. If you need ongoing maintenance, hosting, SEO, domain or email support, Dobble can discuss the right aftercare arrangement for your business.
