FAQ

What web hosting problems can Dobble help prevent or resolve?

Dobble helps prevent and resolve common hosting issues such as slow websites, downtime, SSL problems, migration risks, security alerts, DNS errors and backup concerns. Its managed hosting includes monitoring, caching, SSL configuration, daily automated backups and support for hosting clients, with uptime targets and exclusions explained clearly rather than treated as absolute guarantees.

Common web hosting problems usually show up as slow load times, intermittent downtime, broken SSL certificates, failed website forms, DNS errors, security warnings, missing backups or stressful migrations from one provider to another. Dobble handles these issues through managed hosting, proactive monitoring, practical technical support and a planned approach to website infrastructure.

Dobble’s hosting is positioned as performance and security-focused rather than generic low-cost shared hosting. The goal is to give businesses a more reliable foundation for their website, with the technical environment managed by a team that also understands development, SEO, domains, DNS and email. This helps reduce the common problem of different providers blaming each other when something goes wrong.

Slow websites are one of the most common hosting complaints. They can be caused by poor server performance, inefficient code, large images, excessive scripts, weak caching or a platform that has become too bloated. Dobble addresses hosting-related speed issues through managed infrastructure, server-level caching, performance optimisation and technical review. Where a speed issue is caused by website code, third-party software or content, Dobble can help diagnose the cause and recommend the appropriate next step.

Downtime is another major concern. Dobble aims to maintain 99.9% monthly uptime for websites and hosting services managed on its infrastructure. This applies to the availability of Dobble-managed web server and hosting environments, measured monthly. It should not be interpreted as 100% uptime or an unconditional guarantee. Exclusions can include scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, third-party outages, DNS providers, domain registrars, CDN services, payment gateways, Microsoft 365 or Google services, client internet issues, force majeure events, client changes, custom code, third-party plugins, misuse and services not managed directly by Dobble.

If monthly uptime falls below 99.9% due solely to an issue within Dobble-managed hosting infrastructure, affected clients may request a service review. Where applicable under the client’s Service Level Agreement, service credits may be available. Any financial compensation is limited to the service credits specified in the applicable agreement.

Security-related hosting problems are handled through measures such as firewalls, malware scanning, intrusion detection, security patching, SSL certificates and proactive monitoring. These measures reduce risk, but no hosting provider can guarantee that all cyber threats, vulnerabilities or third-party failures will be eliminated. Dobble focuses on practical prevention, monitoring and response rather than claiming bulletproof protection.

Backup concerns are also common, especially after a website error, content mistake or security incident. Dobble’s managed hosting includes daily automated backups, supporting recovery when practical and within the scope of the relevant hosting or support arrangement. Backup retention periods and detailed restoration terms depend on the applicable service agreement.

Migration problems are handled through planning rather than rushed cutovers. Dobble can migrate websites from a current host, audit existing services, take backups where possible, prepare and test the new environment, then coordinate DNS changes carefully. This process is designed to minimise downtime, although temporary interruptions may still occur because of DNS propagation, third-party providers or internet caching.

Hosting, maintenance, domain and email clients have support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Emergency support is available, with response times typically within 4 hours. For clients outside an SLA, emergency work is charged on an ad hoc basis, with quotes, predictions or capped timing supplied before work commences.

If your website is slow, unstable, difficult to migrate or affected by hosting-related technical problems, Dobble can review the issue, explain what is under its control and recommend a practical path forward. To start, discuss your hosting needs with Dobble.
